Unlike some of its Bravo peers, the Married to Medicine ladies are clocked in and ready to work on another season. After celebrating the milestone of reaching ten seasons, the cast quickly began filming Season 11, and the digital streets have been on high alert to witness it all.

Season 10 of M2M starred Dr. Heavenly Kimes, Dr. Jackie Walters, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Toya Bush-Harris, Quad Webb, Phaedra Parks, and LaTeasha “Sweet Tea” Lunceford as the main cast.

The long-running show also introduced Dr. Alicia Egolum.

Dr. Alicia, a dentist and self-proclaimed “mompreneur,” came on the show through her friendship with Dr. Jackie. Unfortunately, her connections with Jackie and the other women couldn’t save her from being on the chopping block for Season 11.

Here’s what Alicia has said about why she’ll be Married to Medicine off-camera moving forward.

Why did Alicia Egolum leave ‘Married to Medicine’?

In June 2024, Dr. Alicia confirmed Season 10 of Married to Medicine was her first and last season.

On Wednesday, June 12, Irving B. announced on his podcast, No Chaser TV, that he suspected something was off after “snooping around on the scene to figure it out.” Eventually, Irving asked Alicia directly if she would be returning to M2M for Season 11.

Irving wrote to the Bravolebrity in an Instagram DM, “Hi Dr. Alicia, I was wondering if you were returning to Married to Medicine for Season 11.” An hour later, Alicia replied and confirmed fans won’t see her on the show in the new season.

“Hi, Irving! Unfortunately, I will not,” she wrote back.

Dr. Alicia entered the season as someone who appeared more laid back and uninterested in the drama. However, with time, she became activated when several ladies felt her husband, Dr. Kema, was controlling after he made comments about preferring his wife to be submissive and take care of the household alone.

Dr. Alicia is still in touch with her former ‘Married to Medicine’ co-stars.

While Season 11 of Married to Medicine must go on without Dr. Alicia and her family, there’s always a chance she will make a cameo once the season airs. According to her Instagram account, she still plans to attend some events, including Dr. Jackie’s Med Gala.

The Med Gala, which fans saw Dr. Jackie host in Season 10, is an event where the Atlanta medical community gathers to wear luxury clothing and donate to charitable organizations.
