Season 9 of Bravo's Below Deck Mediterranean has just begun, and already, things are going awry for the mostly new crew of the Mustique. Captain Sandy Yawn has returned to the helm alongside fan-favorite Aesha Scott, who is chief steward in the new season. The rest of the cast is composed of fresh faces, which brings a whole new energy to the super-yacht and the show itself. One would hope things would begin on a fresh start, but issues quickly began for the Mustique's first charter.

The previous season of Below Deck Med was rife with issues. Things got off to a rocky start in that season due to immigration issues that left Tumi Mhlongo and Kyle Viljoen stuck when the first charter set sail. Natalya Scudder took over for them, and when they returned, drama ensued. This was one of many issues that led to several crew members leaving the show.

Now, this early on in the season, someone is getting fired. Who did Captain Sandy fire on Below Deck Med in Season 9?

Who did Captain Sandy fire on 'Below Deck Med' Season 9?

Things got off to a rough start on the first charter of the season when the global provision company they use for their charters did not send said provisions on time. Making matters worse, when they did finally arrive, there were a substantial amount of items missing. So much was missing, in fact, that Captain Sandy sent the deckhands, Joe Bradley and Nathan Gallagher, to another superyacht to buy the rosé they needed for their guests.

The first charter managed to get by despite the issues brought on by the provisions company.

Captain Sandy was not at all pleased by the provision company's immense failure. Three hours before the end of the charter, the provision company asked her if she still needed the rosé. Upon seeing that, Captain Sandy said, "They're f---ing fired." Her disappointment was palpable, and she later expressed her frustrations, saying, "When you have a provision company that's global, you trust them. They failed us." Luckily the other superyacht had what they needed and they were able to set sail.

Captain Sandy explained why the provision company's error was so egregious during an interview with Bravo's 'Daily Dish.'

As the captain of the Mustique, Captain Sandy's job is to make sure every aspect of the charter goes smoothly. However, the delay from the provision company was something that she could only do so much to handle. During an interview with the Daily Dish, she said, "I have to worry about the things that are in my control, and that is improvising and figuring out, 'Hey, how can we get some wine on board?' Even if I send crew ashore. Whatever it takes, we'll figure it out." And luckily, they did.
