Where Is 'America's Got Talent' Filmed, and Can You Get Tickets?

If you are obsessed with America's Got Talent like we are, then perhaps — like us — you've dreamed of attending a taping of the wildly popular reality competition series.

But where is the show, which is hosted by he of infectious energy, Terry Crews, even filmed? And is it possible to get tickets to see performances by the most talented individuals and groups in the country? Read on for the full details.

Well, you probably guessed that America's Got Talent is filmed in the most star-studded state in all the land: California.

Specifically, episodes are filmed at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, per NBC.

AGT isn't the only high-profile show filmed in this location. You may also recognize the 3,000-seat auditorium and its lobbies and meeting rooms from American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, Scandal, and NCIS.

The tickets are available to anyone age 8 and above, so it's definitely a family affair!

Meanwhile, fans are warned, "Act fast, as tickets sell out quickly." If you are lucky enough to secure tickets, either print them out or keep them on your phone for entry into the filming.

It's also possible to attend the audition filmings, but those dates for Season 19 have already passed. There's always next year! In 2024, you can attend filming dates from Tuesday, Aug. 20 to Wednesday, Sept. 25.

As for just how fun attending a taping of AGT is, the proof is on social media.

On the On Camera Audiences Instagram page, it's clear that people who get tickets to a taping of AGT have a total blast, with Terry and Howie interacting with ticket holders.

"We got tickets and had a great time! Thank you," gushed one attendee of a recent taping.

And, as Heidi said in a video posted the company's page imploring fans to come join in the fun, "Tickets are free!"

To answer one final question that may be on your mind about attending a taping of an episode, it's quite a time commitment. One site said the experience lasts as long as four hours!

"The arduous day of clapping, standing, shouting, screaming, crying, and general audience mayhem is just exhausting and rather annoying," the site claims.
