Elys Hutchinson Says She's Found Her "Perfect Match" — Was She Single During Season 2?

On Season 2 of Perfect Match, Elys Hutchinson, a Swiss model, had a few eligible bachelors hoping to get to know her better. After a disappointing time on Season 5 of Too Hot to Handle, Elys went on the show hoping to find love. Sadly, her connections with the guys she dated on the show didn't land when her time in the villa ended. Thankfully, Elys wasn't single for long and has since seemingly found the man of her dreams within the Netflix universe. On her Instagram account, fans can see photos of her with her boyfriend, Too Hot to Handle Season 3 star Nathan Soan Mngomezulu.

Elys and Nathan began sharing their relationship on Instagram and TikTok during Elys's time on Perfect Match and after the Season 2 finale. However, did Elys have a boyfriend during Perfect Match? Here's the tea.

In June 2024, rumors began to swirl that Elys was in a relationship with someone other than her Perfect Match crushes—Bryton, Harry Jowsey, and Justin Assada. On June 15, her co-star, Chris Hahn, who also starred in Season 1 of Dated and Related, posted a TikTok implying that she had deceived the audience.

In the video, Chris admitted that the "female" was in a relationship "during the filming process." He also shared he and the woman "weren't on the same page" during the competition and "wasn't surprised" when he discovered she had reportedly been dating someone at home. Many fans in Chris's comments begged him to spill all of his Perfect Match "tea" guessed he was referring to his co-star, Xanthi Perdikomatis. Even more predicted he was talking about Elys.

Elys's social media activities gave away that Chris was talking about her and Nathan. The couple began going public with their relationship in October 2023 when Nathan posted a short TikTok of them snuggled up in the kitchen, with him captioning the post, "Trust me, I never saw this coming."

The video debuted months after Elys appeared on Perfect Match, which began filming in August 2023. While Elys and Nathan haven't shared their dating anniversary, it's quite possible they started dating after filming for the season wrapped.

While Elys was technically already boo'd up when Perfect Match Season 2 aired in June 2024, she wasn't the only one streaming and chilling with someone who wasn't one of her fellow contestants. After the Season 2 finale, which aired on June 21, 2024, another contestant, Izzy Zapata confirmed he was in a relationship with his "honey," Shelby Webb. Izzy's reveal came after he matched — and quickly unmatched — with two other romantic hopefuls, Micah and Jessica.

Even if Elys may have cheated on her new boyfriend for an all-expense-paid trip, she seems to be all-in with Nathan now, and no reality show can tear them apart. After of the Perfect Match season finale, which crowned Christine Obanor and Nigel Jones as the winners, Elys shared in an Instagram post that she was more than happy with her constellation prize.

"POV: You found your most perfect match," she wrote under a slideshow of her and Nathan.
