The gruesome sexual assault and murder of Eliza Fletcher by Cleotha Abston-Henderson (who may receive the death penalty) is a horrifying reminder of a shocking statistic: that assault against female runners and walkers is "shockingly common."

In fact, Runner's World conducted a survey in 2021 where 60 percent of women said they were on the receiving end of assault while they were exercising whilst out and about. Which makes TikToker Mrs. Motivated's (@mrsmotivated2025) videos all the more scary to watch.

She recorded herself while on a walking path, when she noticed a man was acting suspiciously around her, walking in her direction, and ultimately near her car.

"Just in case I die ... I needed to [document] this ... this is raw footage," the TikToker says into the camera as she records herself walking in what looks like a park during her first clip. "Just hang tight with me ... you know," she says. She then flips her camera around to show a path ahead of her. A man can be seen walking in her direction.

She continues to record in silence before cutting the video around to focus on her face: "He turned around to come my way before this," she writes in an additional overlay in her clip.

More seconds pass by as she records herself walking in silence throughout the park with a concerned expression on her face the entire time: "So he keeps turning around and like going the same direction I am and now he's in the middle of the field, so I'm just gonna try to stay as far as I can."

She added that she believed the man may've been attempting to target her vehicle for theft: "I thought he was gonna steal my car because he like was walking —" she looks off camera and begins quickening her pace, "actually he's still doing it right now," she says, the tone in her voice changing.

"Like walking aggressively towards my vehicle, but he's literally walking through the field right now which is so weird. I knew something was weird because he ... there's no vehicle around here," she said after assessing her surroundings. This drew her to one conclusion — the man who made it to the park arrived there on foot.

She added other lurid details about the strange man's appearance: "So he walked here, he's got vomit all over his shirt, did you guys see that? He's got vomit all over his shirt. But I was ready to go, f------ throw hands, you know, f--- you," she said, adding that her fight or flight response was activated after she saw the man walking toward her.

"And listen if I end up on the ID channel I don't want none of y'all saying she was so amazing, she was this, she was that. Be real. Be real. Say I was a realist, I called people out, I was nice, but not too nice, I was a good mom. Don't, don't you forget that, and I was a great fur mom."

The video, at this point, took a much different turn — one that saw the TikToker give out some pointers for her own eulogy: "Umm, what else we got. I was a good friend. Just saying..."

After looking off into the distance, it seems that she saw something that had her thinking she was in the clear: "Umm, now he's on the street, I don't even know, I don't even know. I thought he was going to my car, he walked in the middle of this field, it was so freaking weird. Like there's only houses over there so I was like where are you going?"

She then motioned with her head off screen. "Like thinking maybe he lives there and then I was gonna delete this video and be like yeah, whatever. But no, he's just a creeper. I don't even know if he's a creeper, he's just ... I think he might be drunk and not know where he is right now," the TikToker went on to say.

Her camera view flips around: "Because he found himself on a walking path and then he walked in the middle of the field and now he's walking down the street. So, yeah, I think he's just a little confused. Might be hungover. Might be, I don't know. But, remember, if I'm on ID channel..."

She gasps, "Hold on he's stopping, stop, he's looking at me you guys, through this —" she flips the camera around to show the figure of the man staring at her through foliage.

In a follow-up video, she posted more of the footage from her time out on the walking path.

"It's like he's waiting to see what I'm doing," she says, looking off into the distance. "Yeah, 'cause now he's walking through the field this way..." — she directs her camera to the field and then back to her face — "every time I stop he stops. Now he's acting like he's just reading one of these things."

"But now it's like I can't even. He's by my car, that's the thing, he's by my car," she says worriedly into the camera. "Like I can't, um, he's on the path to my car, so yeah. All right, I'm gonna get off here and like call my friend or somebody to come like, so I have backup," she says into the video, detailing that she is unwilling to take any chances.

In another clip pertaining to the incident, she recorded it from the interior of the car, proving that she was able to get into it safely. The TikToker said that she was able to get into her vehicle after calling the cops and then getting on FaceTime with her husband until she was safely in her vehicle.

She says that she let authorities know about the situation, giving them a play-by-play of what went down. Numerous folks who reacted to her initial crop of videos questioned why she didn't notify the authorities and criticized her for immediately just recording content for TikTok instead of considering her own safety, but it seems that she did, indeed, go out of her way to ensure the incident was reported and she was taking necessary security precautions.
