Here's What the Real Housewives of D.C. Are Doing Now — We're Lobbying for Another Season

Andy Cohen, Bravo, and the wine gods and goddesses have given fans of party crashing and rich insults the greatest possible gift. The first and only season of The Real Housewives of D.C. is currently streaming on Peacock and we're ready to "not make money, but spend money," just like Mary Amons. The show premiered nearly 14 years ago and we're not ashamed to admit that a redo would be welcomed with open wallets and arms. Until that happens, let's check in with the cast of The Real Housewives of D.C.

True fans of the Bravo reality series know that Real Housewives of D.C. was historic. Not only was the D.C. iteration the first and only Real Housewives franchise to get canceled after only one season, but it also had one of the most memorable scandals of all time when Michaele Salahi and her husband at the time, Tareq, crashed a White House dinner. It was a seriously unforgettable moment in reality TV history.

With millions of viewers and decent ratings, many were surprised that RHODC was canceled, but apparently, the D.C. backdrop made everything a little more political, and prevented the full-blown ratchet drama that most seasons get to experience. Some also think it may have been due to the birth of the much more popular spinoff, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Needless to say, the way it ended did not make way for another season, though many of the series' stars seemed to anticipate one.

Two years after RHODC ended, Mary Amons divorced her husband of 26 years, Rich Amons, according to Page Six. It doesn't seem as though she has remarried. However, according to Taste of Reality, she tends to spend most of her time with her five kids, while also running her interior design company, Mary Amons Design. She is also on the Advisory Board of COCOLOCO, a self-funded, women-owned and operated bodycare sensation," per their website. There is also a ton of enviable farm-living footage on Mary's Instagram, which we highly recommend.

Lynda seems to have fully retired from the dramatic life of reality TV, and these days, she seems to be focusing more on her career than anything else. Her Instagram bio boasts that she is the founder and president of a modeling firm called @theartistagency, and is also executive director of a charity that supports arts and sciences, called @jpcoburnfdtn. She is also dating former University of Maryland men's tennis team champ Fulton Liss.

Both Lynda and Mary, who were friends before the show and became even better friends after, spoke with Jezebel in July 2020 about their experiences. "I think D.C. was supposed to represent what's important to today's time, not who has a Ferrari or how many furs can you wear," said Lynda. When asked if people might receive a D.C. Housewives show in a post–reality television president world Lynda said, "I don't think I could do it."

Cat ended up moving out of D.C. and all the way back to England, before divorcing her White House photographer husband, Charles Ommanney, according to the Daily News. These days she spends most of her time at her home in Majorca, Spain, while her kids attend boarding school.

According to an interview with The Sun in November 2022, Cat and Prince Harry briefly dated when she was 34 and he was 21. She told the outlet they were introduced by mutual friends and from the second they met, it was if they were the only two people in the room. They only went out a couple of times but Cat said he gave her one of the "most passionate kisses" she ever had. No need to spare us the details!

Ten years after the series ended, it appears that Stacie Scott Turner has gone back to her roots in real estate, according to Trend Celebs Now, as she owns a real estate company in Maryland. At one point, Stacie may have been working on a televised project called Redesigning Your Life, but it doesn't seem like that ever took off either.

According to Washington Post, Stacie and her husband, Jason, have also parted ways since the series wrapped ... what could have been.

Michaele's 10-year-update is probably the most interesting among the RHODC co-stars. According to The Washingtonian, Michaele had gone totally MIA for a while, and many, including her husband at the time, believed she had actually been kidnapped. However, it turned out that she was simply dating Journey's guitarist, Neal Schon, as you do. She divorced Tareq, and ultimately married the love of her life.

ABC News reported that Michaele and Neal were married Dec. 15, 2013, by way of a lavish wedding that aired on pay-per-view. That's right, for $14.95 you could have been in your living room watching "Neal & Michaele: The Winter Wonderland Wedding and Music Event!" Wow, if only we could turn back time.

While the RHODC are plagued with a widely believed marriage curse, it seems like they're all doing pretty well overall. We're rooting for each of them, regardless if they ultimately return to TV. It's time to rebrand Washington, D.C.! We're lobbying for less insurrections and more merrymaking.
