A mom found a Walmart deal that was so good, an employee was convinced she either must've been stealing or there was an scanning error with the products in her cart.

The Saving Mom (@saving_mom) on TikTok expressed her frustrations in dealing with the worker who, despite verifying that she scanned each and every one of her items and that the total amount was correct, still wouldn't let her leave the store without further vetting.

"Watch me get harassed and questioned at checkout while they let other people steal and literally walk away with merchandise and not do nothing about it. But me buying clearance, I get questioned," the mom narrates as she records herself at what appears to be the self-checkout aisle of a Walmart store.

"Anyways at this point I had already paid for everything. I had my receipt and I didn't even notice she was right behind me, checking everything I was scanning," the woman says, referring to the Walmart employee who can be seen talking with the Saving Mom in her video.

"Keep in mind I had already paid for everything. I had my receipt, and she checked with a scanner and with her app to see if the prices were actually $76 dollars."

The influencer said the Walmart employee's decision to verify this price, which she did, wasn't satisfactory, and that the worker still decided to question her regardless of confirming that the price was indeed $76.

"She still was not happy," the Saving Mom narrates as the employee continues to inspect the items inside of the woman's cart.

"They're literally marked off there," she tells the worker.

"I know," the Walmart employee says before going on to explain she needs to double-check something.

The TikToker then says she's already paid for her items, slapping her receipt down on top of what looks like a comforter she purchased on clearance.

"It's not like I can change the price," the TikToker says during a portion of the video where she seems to be talking to someone off camera.

"Had customers behind me telling them to let me go," she adds in an overlay, as the woman who was originally checking her bag begins talking with another store worker, who asks the Saving Mom to "go to customer service," which she couldn't understand.

"Why would I go to customer service?" she questions the workers, before telling them that she doesn't "need a price fix," she scanned the items for their prices and argued that she should be allowed to exit the store as a result.

The Saving Mom explained in an another overlay that she was heated over the exchange: "Yes I'm annoyed because she was behind me, saw me scan, pay, checked on her app, checked at CHECKOUT confirmed and still wasted my time."

She can be heard raising her voice in the store as she explains that she scanned and paid for every single item, so she can't understand why she's being kept from exiting the store.

Ultimately, the TikToker agrees to go to the customer service center with the male employee who showed up later, but not before throwing some shade at the woman who initially watched her ring up all of the products in the first place: "No she just has a problem because I got them at a low price."

She added: "But I'll go ahead and I'll go with you."

"I don't understand what your problem is," Saving Mom says to the worker who follows her to the customer service desk.

The Saving Mom tells the worker at the self-checkout section that the employee scanned all of the items herself, and that she doesn't have any idea whatsoever why she's being subjected to such scrutiny.

"She checked on her scanner and she literally scanned it," she says to the employee before pointing to the receipt containing all of the scanned items with the final price listed at the bottom.

The employee looks at the receipt and assesses that everything is on the up and up and the Saving Mom is able to exit the location without being hassled by any other workers.

"They said I'm good to go," she announces as she is finally able to leave the store, but not before mentioning to the employee the worker embarrassed her in front of other shoppers.

She further delineated why she was so angry in a text caption for the video, writing how she was shocked to be stopped despite not doing anything wrong, meanwhile, other shoppers and bad actors who have no qualms with robbing the establishment blind seemingly get away without so much as a second look.

"The amount of times I’ve seen people walk out and they don’t do nada but check my clearance almost every time or send loss prevention to follow me for using my Walmart app to price check throughout the store is annoying," she said.

Folks who responded to her video were exuding secondhand frustration as a result: "As a Walmart employee they aren’t allowed to stop you like this," one penned.

Another said: "Nope. Call Walmart corporate and show them this. They will send you a gift card as an apology at bare minimum."

Someone else speculated as to why the employee was so heated over the low-cost find: "She’s mad 'cus you got them first!" they joked.

Have you ever had a retail employee jam you up for seemingly no reason? How did you react?
