Is OG Anunoby Dating Anyone Special? Details on the Knicks Player's Love Life

New York Knicks player OG Anunoby made headlines in May 2024 when it was announced that a strained hamstring would keep him out of the NBA playoffs, at least until after Game 4. To say fans are bummed is an understatement, given the 6'7" star's immense talent on the court.

But as the short forward sits on the bench for a few games (and hopefully no longer!), fans want to know a bit more about OG's personal life — including if he is dating anyone special at the moment.

The short (get it?) answer to the question of whether the New York Knicks player is dating anyone special is, well, not that we know of!

There is no public information available about the British native's love life, perhaps by design.

Indeed, the former Toronto Raptors player's Instagram only features a few photos of his professional basketball career. He doesn't let fans peek into his personal life on social media, or in interviews for the most part.

OG doesn't appear to have a TikTok account. However, a post on the platform from 2022 claims OG was dating an unknown engineer.

We don't know whether this person is indeed his girlfriend, but commenters say her name is Klara Szabo. Whether they are still together is a mystery, and OG hasn't said anything about her in the media.

What we do know is that OG lost another important woman in his life when he was very young.

OG's dad, Ogugua, told Sportsnet Canada that his wife was very athletic. He said about the mom of six, "Their mother was a champion athlete. She was a sprinter, she was a jumper — she was very competitive.”

Sadly, she passed away when OG was just one year old.

“It was tough not having a mother,” he told the outlet, “but my dad did a really good job raising us.”

Indeed, as his dad, who has since passed away as well, said, "We tried to raise a proper family. And when I say proper, what I mean is we are people who do things well. We value hard work, order, and success. You don’t talk unless you have to talk. And if you have to talk, you should say something that doesn’t take away from the conversation, but enriches it.”

To that end, per Fansided, OG is known to be "curt" with the media. And so, we have come full circle it seems. OG was raised to keep his comments brief, a lesson he carries with him today.

He doesn't say anything unnecessary, like for instance, about his dating life.

OG is such an enigma, that he was called "Toronto's man of mystery" in a 2019 piece about him.

With that in mind, it's unlikely we'll learn more about his dating life anytime soon.
