Another Juicy Season of 'Love After Lockup' Is Coming — Here's a First Look! (EXCLUSIVE)

A new season of Love After Lockup is back in 2024, with more couples ready to share their post-prison love with WeTV fans alike. The season began with Love During Lockup. Like we've seen in past seasons, the show will follow the couples as they find out if their love is strong enough to survive outside of prison bars.

Love After Lockup premieres on Friday, July 26, 2024, on WE tv. For those without a cable or live TV subscription, the series will also be available on AllBlk.

While the wait for the new season seems like a long time to wait, we can confirm that the couples on the show will make it worthwhile. The exclusive supertease trailer for the season shared with DreamDive, shows the tumultuous road ahead for the new cast.

Seven couples were asked to appear on Season 5 of Love After Lockup. The exclusive supertease trailer shows most of the couples, who all have various issues outside of one of the lovers having a mugshot.

The clip opens with most of the former prisoners basking in their freedom. In one scene, True, who starred in Love During Lockup Season 5, asks his fiancée, Shonta, if he smells like jail, to which she replies, "Yeah, you do."

The trailer further teases what we can expect from some couples' stories this season, from differing religious beliefs to feeling trapped to cheating allegations and, for one couple, Hope and Arthur, mommy issues.

There's also a chance that the ride-or-die lifestyle may be too much for one couple, Zeruiah and Troy. In one scene, Zeruiah, who said in a confessional she "can't believe I really married somebody in prison" wondered if she could handle being with her new husband.

"I just want a regular family, a regular life," Zeruiah says as she cries in a scene.

Love After Lockup premieres on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 8 p.m. EST on WE tv.
