With seven seasons in the bag, there were initially some questions as to whether or not Christine Quinn would return after the Season 3 drama. (Luckily, she did, though she left the series after Season 5.)

As you may recall, Season 3 ended with Christine's lavish gothic wedding to Christian Richard, officially known as Christian Richard Dumontet. Christian and Christine are no longer together as Christian filed for divorce on April 5, 2024, less than a month after he was arrested and charged with child abuse and assault. In fact, things have taken quite a messy turn for the once-happy couple.

Trouble first erupted on March 20, 2024, after a domestic dispute broke out between Christian and Christine. A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed to CNN that Christian was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after he "threw a bag containing a glass bottle at [Christine] and missed, but hit [their] child causing injury."

A source familiar with the situation confirmed to CNN that Christine's son was transported via ambulance to the ER.

According to Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department arrest records, Christian's bail was set at $30,000, per CNN. He was later charged with child abuse of his 3-year-old son and assault of Christine, according to court documents viewed by DreamDive.

Then, according to court documents obtained by DreamDive, Christine filed a domestic violence restraining order against her husband on May 14, 2024, less than a month before he filed for divorce on April 5. The order stipulates that Christian cannot contact Christine, either directly or indirectly, and must stay at least 100 yards away from their Los Angeles home or any location she may be. As of this writing, Christine has full control and possession of the residence.

On June 5, Christine's legal team filed a notice confirming Christian's violation of the restraining order. This stems from an incident involving a stranger who trespassed on Christine's property on May 27, believed to be an associate or agent of Christian's.

The trespasser was observed on Christine’s security cameras snooping around areas of the home, including the garage and near the pool. Christine was able to later identify the trespasser as someone associated with Christian after he was photographed alongside him by Us Weekly while leaving his arraignment on June 4 (the photos were subsequently published).

The court filing further states, “This instance was not the first time Mr. Dumontet sent an agent on his behalf to the property to scare, intimidate, harass, and disturb the peace of Mrs. Quinn.”

Despite the challenges of her contentious divorce, Christine is already looking ahead. On June 9, she posted a glamorous photo on Instagram with the caption, "Who’s ready for hot girl summer?"

How long were Christine Quinn and her ex-husband together?

The pair got married in December 2019 and welcomed their first child in May 2021. While the two attempted to keep their relationship fairly private, they had somewhat of a whirlwind romance. They said "I do" less than a year after their first date.

During a toast at their engagement party, Christian shed light on their fast-paced relationship. He said, "Christine, I met you in Beverly Hills not even a year ago, and I absolutely fell head over heels in love with you. We had instant banter which is really special, you don’t get that too often," he said, according to Elle. "I pursued her, and she’s a tough catch. But here we are now, she’s amazing, complements me perfectly, and we’re building a life together," he continued.

Christine Quinn met ex Christian Dumontet through a mutual friend.

During a 2020 appearance on the Dear Media's Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Christine revealed how she met her hubby. "I met [Christian Richard] through a girlfriend of mine. And she was like, 'Hey, I went on a date with this guy and just like, not feeling it, but I do know that he is looking for a house,'" she told host Amanda Hirsch.

But after going on a date with Christian, she realized that he was much more than her typical client. "He's like different. He's funny. And then, you know, we started dating immediately and then when we were looking for houses, like we were looking for houses, like, for us," Christine shared.

She added that she "kind of manifested it."

In 2019, Christine sold Crystal Hefner's home to Christian. Crystal is the widow of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. The home sold for $5 million.

Why did Christine Quinn leave 'Selling Sunset'?

Following five seasons on Selling Sunset, Christine announced her exit from the series in April 2022. She explained to People that she left The Oppenheim Group to start her own brokerage with her husband.

"I had to make a business decision that was for me, so I had to terminate the contract so I could move it over to my brokerage," she told the outlet in August 2022.

Although Christine and Christian are no longer part of Selling Sunset, it's hard not to want to tune in to all of the drama as it unfolds in their absence.

Selling Sunset was renewed for Season 8 and will reportedly air sometime in 2024. In the meantime, you can watch past seasons on Netflix.
