To commemorate the milestone, developer Mojang has decided to release a series of cosmetics for players to collect by playing the game and interacting with streamers and creators who are also fans of the popular 3D sandbox title. The TikTok cape has already caught the eye of plenty of players — so how do you get it?

As part of the 15-year celebration, there's a cape players will be able to obtain that has the Minecraft logo stylized to look like the TikTok logo. This will be released alongside one for Twitch, as well, which has a purple heart styled onto it. These are just two of the various cosmetic items that will be available for players to commemorate the anniversary.

To get the TikTok cape, you'll have to watch a streamer on TikTok who is partnered with Minecraft to do drops. There are only a select few who will have this cape available as part of their streams, so you'll want to make sure you're watching the right creators if you want this cosmetic item.

The same parameters apply to those who want the Twitch cape. Look for a creator who has Minecraft drops enabled for their stream. These streams should have a specific code that you can then redeem on the Minecraft website. Make sure you're logged into your Microsoft account on the website when you redeem so it will automatically be added to your account.

The Twitch cape is available to players starting May 15, while the TikTok cape won't be available until May 18. The code for the TikTok cape can be redeemed until June 18, while Twitch codes will be good until June 30. Unfortunately, these capes are only available for Bedrock users, meaning those playing on platforms other than PC will not be able to secure these capes.

'Minecraft' is releasing 15 new items in May.

Players can also redeem 15 different Character Creator items to customize their character throughout the month of May. These items are being unveiled one day at a time from May 15 to May 29 on Minecraft's Instagram story, with each new skin and cosmetic piece representing a different piece of the popular sandbox game's history.

Each of these items is representative of something different in Minecraft's long history. The first one is the "Cave Game Hoodie," featuring animated lava and clouds. This wearable item is available to players in the Minecraft Bedrock Dressing Room. Unfortunately, this does mean that these items are only available to Bedrock players.

At this time, it's not clear if Java players will have any exclusive items they can can collect as part of the 15-year celebration.
