Is Reggaeton Superstar Don Omar Married? A Look at His Family

Puerto Rico native and reggaeton star Don Omar — who has been credited with popularizing the genre with the global masses — has been on the music scene since 2003, having gone on to sell 15 million records since.
But outside of music, does the singer-rapper (real name Omar Landrón Rivera) have a wife and kids?

Is Don Omar married?
Don Omar is not currently married. However, he was previously wed to journalist and forecaster Jackie Guerrido. The two tied the knot in 2008, but by 2011, they were divorced.
Before his marriage to Jackie, Don was reportedly married to Melissa del Valle Rodríguez, though not much is known about Melissa.
We don't know anything else about the singer's romantic life, other than that in 2014, a girlfriend charged him with domestic abuse. The allegation was later dropped, with no legal proceedings taking place.
Does Don Omar have any children?
Don is a dad of three.
He has a daughter, daughter Diana, from a relationship with Melissa del Valle Rodríguez. His sons Daniel and Dereck are from other relationships.
In 2007, things got testy with his child support arrangements, with Don's lawyer explaining, “All we are saying is that Diana ought to get the same benefits as Don Omar's other kids." At that time, Diana was reportedly receiving more than twice the monthly amount that his sons were.
Not too much else is known about the children. Don and Jackie did not have kids together (though Jackie has two of her own), and Don does not share photos of his kids on his social media.
In June 2024, Don Omar shared his cancer diagnosis, later updating fans that he was "cancer free."
Taking to Instagram on June 17, 2024, Don shared with fans in Spanish that he was in the hospital receiving cancer treatment, but didn't offer more details.
"Today yes, but tomorrow I won't have cancer," he captioned a photo of himself wearing a hospital bracelet. "Good intentions are well received. See you soon."
A day after sharing his cancer diagnosis, the singer updated fans and friends that he "woke up cancer free and grateful."
"Thank you for your good wishes, prayers and thousands of messages. My surgery was a success — now to recover," he added.
Thousands of commenters poured into the post to share their congratulations for the star, and to wish him well in his recovery. We join them in hoping Don's health continues to improve and he can share his gifts with the world on stage again very soon.
