YouTuber Ben Potter Died at the Age of 40 Following an "Unfortunate Accident"

With a subscriber count of over 3 million on YouTube, Ben Potter, who was known on the platform as Comicstorian, has reportedly died at the age of 40. The news of Ben's death was confirmed by his wife, Nathalie, who said that he had died in an "unfortunate accident."

Who was Ben Potter's wife?

Ben's wife Nathalie posted a lengthy tribute to her husband on his Twitter account following his death, promising to keep his channel going after his death.

"To many of you, he was Comicstorian, voicing stories from across multiple different mediums. To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive individuals anyone could ask for," Nathalie wrote, avoiding any details about the accident that had led to his death.

"As a husband, a son, a brother, a friend, or even just a stranger, Ben was loving and genuine. He was someone who would listen and make time for his loved ones. He would do his best to make everyone laugh and make sure they were okay. He was our rock and he'd reassure his loved ones whenever they needed it," she continued.

Nathalie continued by saying that she needed to grieve and asking for privacy for herself and her family while she did so. She added that Ben was "her world."

"His channel was one of his greatest accomplishments, and while we all need our time to mourn him, I know he wouldn't want it to end like this," she continued.

"Ben spent over 10 years spreading his love and appreciation for his hobbies. It was through his love of exciting stories and well written characters that got him started on YouTube," Nathalie added, saying that she would be working with his team to keep the channel going following his death. "We supported each other on everything we wanted to do and I'm not about to stop now," she concluded the note.

Tributes to Comicstorian came pouring in following the announcement.

Although the Comicstorian channel might not be going anywhere, Ben himself received plenty of glowing tributes following Nathalie's post.

"He did so much for so many. I am absolutely gutted to hear this. Rest in peace, Ben," one person wrote.

"Oh my God. I'm so sorry, Nathalie. Ben was a great one," another person added.

Ice Cube's son Oshea Jackson Jr. also weighed in following the news.

"I am still taking my break from Twitter for personal reasons. But with the news I just got I have to come back say something," he wrote "Rest in Peace to Comicstorian. I’m heartbroken to hear this news. One of my favorite follows on YouTube, thank you so much for your work man I was a huge fan. Prayers to his loved ones. Long live Ben Potter. Yall be good. Hold your loved ones tight. I’ll see y'all soon I hope."
