Barron Trump Is Now a High School Grad, but Where Is He Going to College?

If you followed Donald Trump's 2016 run for the presidency, you likely remember learning at the time that he had four adult children and one child with his current wife, Melania. At the time, that child, Barron, was just 10 years old. Time comes for us all, though, and now, Barron is a high school graduate.

Following the news that Barron had graduated from high school, many wondered where he might be headed to college. Here's what we know about Barron's college decision.

We don't actually know for sure where Barron is going to attend college. Although Barron's father is usually pretty open about his life, that decision hasn't been shared with the public, if Barron has made it yet.

In an interview from March 2024, Donald said that Barron was doing well in school and that they were considering a few potential colleges for him.

“Right now, he’s doing a great job,” Trump said. “He has great marks. He’s going to be going to college soon. And we’re looking at some colleges that are different than they were two months ago.”

Some have speculated that Barron could attend New York University, which isn't far from his childhood home in Trump Tower, while others have suggested that he could follow in his father's footsteps and attend the University of Pennsylvania.

Regardless of where he ends up for school, Barron already has plans for the summer. It was originally announced that he would be serving as one of the delegates from Florida to the Republican National Convention so that he could assist in nominating his father. Recently, though, Melania said that Barron would have to pull out of the obligation because of "prior commitments."

The exact nature of Trump's relationship with Barron has always been unclear. Trump's relationships with his other children have changed since he stepped into the political arena. Ivanka Trump, who worked in his first administration, has been quiet about his latest election bid, while some of his other adult children have become full-throated supporters of his campaign.

Trump was only able to attend his son's graduation because he had a day off from court in one of four criminal trials that he is currently facing for various actions he committed from 2016 through 2021. While Trump has suggested that these cases were created to persecute him and keep him out of power, many legal experts have suggested that each of the four cases has various legal merits which made them worth pursuing.

The case that Trump is currently standing trial for involves allegations that he slept with porn star Stormy Daniels and then paid her hush money to keep her from going public with the allegations. It's unclear whether Barron believes the story that his father cheated on his mother or how he might feel about that reality if it was one that he believed. Trump denies that the encounter ever took place.
