'Bachelor in Paradise' Couple Joe and Serena Are Living Their Best Married Life

Among the couples emerging from Bachelor in Paradise, Joe Amabile (aka Grocery Store Joe) and Serena Pitt stand out as one of the most unexpected pairs. The pair met and fell in love on the sandy shores of Mexico, culminating in an engagement during the finale.

Now, it's been a while since we've heard about these lovebirds — are they still together, or has fate pulled them apart? Here's the latest on Joe and Serena's relationship.

Back in June 2022, Bachelor Nation disclosed that Serena and Joe had moved in together and planned to marry in either 2023 or 2024.

According to the outlet, Serena took to Instagram to answer some fan questions, including one about their wedding plans. She stated, "We are currently thinking sometime in 2023. I know post-pandemic wedding venues are so booked up right now, and we haven't started planning yet, but next year would be our hope if we can make it happen! If not 2023, then we will try for 2024."

However, on Oct. 27, 2022, Joe and Serena surprised many fans by exchanging vows at City Hall in New York City. Reflecting on their unexpected choice, the newlyweds shared with People, "We have always known marriage was in our future, it just looked a little bit different than we expected."

"We still plan on having a big wedding next fall that we are already planning, but with everything being so public in our relationship, having a private moment just the two of us felt so special and intimate," Joe and Serena explained. "Natasha Parker was our witness, someone that has seen our relationship from the very beginning."

They continued, "We can't wait to celebrate with all of our family and friends next year at our wedding because who doesn't want to marry the love of their life twice?"

On Sept. 2, 2023, nearly a year after they first tied the knot, Joe and Serena had their official wedding in Charleston, South Carolina. The ceremony was officiated by Wells Adams, the beloved Bachelor in Paradise bartender.

"This time around, it feels like the start of an exciting new chapter, and we are looking forward to continuing doing life together," Joe told People ahead of the big day.

Instead of choosing their hometowns of Chicago and Toronto, the couple preferred to host the "big celebration" in a location where their loved ones could forge new memories.

"We wanted to pick a fun weekend getaway city that was accessible to most of our family and friends and had a venue we loved!" Serena told the outlet. "Charleston is so beautiful, and the minute we visited the city and The Cedar Room, we could instantly envision our wedding there."

"We have no prior ties to Charleston but are so excited to create special memories there!" she added, noting that she "wanted the weekend to feel like a big celebration" for not only the couple but "everyone we love."
